Main Function Provides high quality nursing care for assigned patients in a scientific and humanistic focus. The Robert Packer Hospital Staff Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes a holistic systems approach to protect and promote client wellness and safety in the physiological, psychological, social-cultural, developmental and spiritual domains. Nursing interventions are interdisciplinary, population specific and are directed toward optimal wellness. Provides high quality heath care to medical and surgical cardiovascular patients through the development and implementation of a comprehensive Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase I-III Program that involves the patient and their family. Reports directly to Cardiac Rehabilitation Coordinator and indirectly to Director of Rehabilitation Services, yet is accountable to the standards of care and practice and educational requirements as delineated by the Robert Packer Hospital Nursing Department. Education Bachelors Degree RN Experience One year RN experience within the last five years preferred. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) desired. Experience working in a team environment. Computer skills required and prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred. Will need to demonstrate ability to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends and on-call. Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting. Will need to demonstrate leadership skills, skills contributing towards a positive teamwork environment, effective communication skills, and excellent critical thinking skills.
